Anyeonghaseyo Chingu ~ ~ So as some of you know that i have spend my holiday last May not only at Hongkong as i shared in my previous post, but also in the Pulau Dewata especially Ubud ! This is my first experience to be here and i'm in love with it! Highly recommend for you who want to recharge your body, soul and mind because it's so peaceful and quite.

During my vacation here, I'm staying at one of the most beautiful hotel i've ever visited in my life (until now), it's Desa Visesa Ubud. My first thing to do when i arrived here is join their is a balinese ritual ceremony carried out for body and soul purification. It is performed by holy water blessed by a Hindu Priest. So you will being asked politely by the staff to sit in their special chair and the staff will splatter a little water to your head and in the end they will give you a cute traditional bracelet in your right hand (i even still use that barcelet in Hongkong).  However i love how they put the traditional thing since the beginning and another compliment is they're smile during the process of ceremony ! Desa Visesa features a collection of 60 luxury pool villas and 46 large suites rooms with a natural landscape for sure. For my room itself (Suite Room), their terrace is surrounded by lush jungle and rain showers with private outdoor bathtubs in there! One of the reason why i called this is the real ubud, because you don't have to go anywhere to see the beautiful rice field since Visesa has their own rice fields for you.Visesa has developed a vast protected area whereby sustainable farming values are supported with extensive permaculture gardening and rice fields traditional cultivation. I guarantee you will be amazed with their scenery here and you can just use their free shuttle services to get around their place.

Besides enjoying their scenery, you can also do many activities here such as Animal Caring, Offering Procession, Permaculture Activities, Making Offering, Traditional Dance and Gamelan. All this activities can be enjoyed for free! You just have to check with their staff for every schedule of activity and just enjoy it! Permaculture is the development of agricultural ecosystems according to rules that aim at farming land in complete sustainability and self-sufficiency. Visesa has dedicated more than two hectares of land to organic culture grown exclusively with natural compost for this purpose. 

Gamelan

Balinese Dances

Traditional Dances are one of the most attractive part of the Balinese cultural and artistic heritage so Visesa guests are invited to learn dance postures and techniques under the supervision of our talented instructors. Practicing fluid finger movements and graceful steps synchronized to the hypnotic sounds of Gamelan music is a delightful experience.

Ritual Offerings

Balinese ceremonies require elaborate offerings of fruits and flowers that are presented to gratify and conciliate the Gods. Shaped as towers of stacked layers of colorful edibles. Gebongan are head loaded and carried to temples by lines of Balinese women. Visesa encourages inspired guests to learn how to make these splendid arrangements using assortments of home grown produce.

Kajeng Kliwon takes place every fifteen days in the Balinese calendar. It presents an auspicious opportunity to cleanse the mind from any negative vibrations. Using special offerings to seek support and protection, a ceremony is performed every Kajeng Kliwon day at our majestic temple and our guests are welcome to participate to this remarkable soul purification practice.
